Presents: "Read The Signs"
Through out the past two decades 100's of thousands of Los Angeles
youth have written their names on almost every surface that this city has to
offer, saturating all of LA with their tags. "Read The Signs" is a collection of
late 1980's to 2005 tags that have been preserved by several anonymous
collectors. In spite of all of the cities efforts to eradicate this city of its
graffiti problem some of the most prolific writers of our time have manage
to survive on the backs of these signs. This show serves as a testament to
their existence and the art form known as the tag.

have been busy creating art and traveling on the west coast working on different add campaigns, live
painting events and participating in art exhibits. We have also been collaborating with other artists and
organizations. Collaborations include, Manone Art, Alt- Terrain, ICU ART, and Pryer.
Updates: 5/10/05 - We have been very busy around here working on many different projects
and events. This past month we participated in Mr. Cartoons "Promise Land" art exhibit held in
downtown L.A. at the historical Union Station. I must say that that event was off the hinges. The show
was a one day event and was moved for viewing across the street to the Olvera Street art gallery. The
exhibit features artwork by: Mr. Cartoon, Wayne Healy, Man One, George Yepes, Retna, DUCE, The
Date Farmers, Neck Face and many others will be on display until the 16th of May. We are also
please to announce the addition of A.W.V.'s newest member Giselle Ruiz. Giselle is a phenomenal
young artist. At only 18 years of age she has won numerous art awards, competitions and painted
several murals in the Los Angeles area.
Updates: 4/15/05 - We were invited by
Alt-terrain to participate in Disney's pre-promotion
for their new animated movie, "Chicken Little"
coming out in November of 2005. A total of 25
artists or companies were selected to
paint/paste/sticker/mark-up/transform blank
Chicken Little vinyl characters for a gallery show
at Meltdown Comics in LA in May (www.meltcomics.com) and at 360 Toy Group in N.Y.C. in June
(www.360toygroup.com).
The transformed Chicken Little vinyl characters will be put up for silent auction at each show with the
proceeds going to the artists choice of any of the children's charities shown on the link below:
